There are Bugis in Borneo.

In Sabah, Brunei, Labuan, Sarawak and Indonesian Borneo.

They have intermarried with the Murut, Kadazan, Kelabit and Bajau people in Sabah, Labuan and Brunei as well as the Berunai and Bidayuh people in Sarawak and Indonesian Borneo.

There are also Javanese in Borneo.

Bugis are also from the Batam Aboriginal Malays of Batam in the Riau Islands while Javanese are also from the Kuala Aboriginal Malays of Batu Pahat in Johor.
